Concessionary: TBA 24Month(s) What will I study?
Whether you are an employer looking to take on a junior/ assistant or a person wishing to get into the Photography Industry, this apprenticeship framework would be an opportunity for you.
Whilst at work, you will gather evidence of your competence to gain modules of an NVQ and whilst at college/ work/ or independent study, you will gain units towards the knowledge element of the Apprenticeship framework.
For people wanting to learn the art of photography, it is an opportunity to earn while you learn. And for employers it is an opportunity to take on a motivated additional member of their team who has more than just a pay cheque to gain from their job.
What modules are covered?Competence Element (inc. Preparing to work)
Competence within the apprenticeship will be assessed through the Level 3 Diploma in Photo Imaging Competence. This qualification is composed of the units below, developed by Skillset in collaboration with industry practitioners and awarding organisations. Assessment will take place in the work environment, or may be simulated where appropriate industry standard facilities exist.
Learners must gain a minimum of 47 credits to complete this element. The mandatory units account for 24 credits. Learners taking the Photography route must take the ‘Undertake the photographic assignment’ unit and gain 13 credits from the remaining optional units. Those taking the Non-Photography route must simply gain 23 credits from the optional units.
Unless indicated, units are at Level 3. Learners must ensure that at least 50% of their total credits for this element are at Level 3.
