AS Level Photography About the Course
Learn the basic skills of black and white photography, including control of the camera under all circumstances, develop and print images in the darkroom, mount and display images to exhibition standards, creative darkroom and digital techniques. Learn to observe and express critical evaluations of visual images.

You must be prepared to complete the assessment processes which are an integral part of this course. This involves working under controlled conditions in a day-long session in addition to scheduled teaching times in April/May. Submissions for assessment must include supporting studies in sketchbooks and mounted photographic prints. Your work is internally marked and externally moderated.

Experience in photography or other creative visual work is ideal preparation for this course. Your exam fees are included in the enrolment fee, but you will need to pay for your own consumables.

Qualification courses run on an academic year basis. New courses will commence in September 2009.
