Photography: AS and A2 Level
This is an art and design-based A level that specialises in a range of lens-based media and experimental techniques including: printing and processing, black and white film, Photoshop, toning, liquid emulsion and studio work.

Course details
This course is practical and the first year involves the production of two projects including a timed, controlled practical examination. In the second year, you will produce a specialist project which includes a personal study as well as a practical examination.

How is it assessed?
Both AS and A2 courses are 100% coursework (this includes the practical examination).

One year at AS level. One year at A2 level.

What do I need to study this subject?
You should have GCSE grade A*-C in Art and Design, and GCSE grades A*-C in English Language and Art GCSE are desirable.

Where can this lead me?
You can progress onto a Foundation Diploma course or a degree in a range of art-based subjects, and careers in photography, including photojournalism, studio photography and advertising photography.
