FOR WHOM THE COURSE IS INTENDED:

This course is intended for amateur photographers who have completed a basic course and  are looking to improve their skills further. This may include those who have completed
basic courses or self taught amateurs who may feel they want some tuition to
improve further.

PROGRAMME CONTENT:

This course is run as 10/12-week modules to help amateur/hobbyist photographers to
improve both their technical and creative skills. We will be accommodating a wide range of
skill levels and teach the course in terms of projects to help accommodate each
student. Each project introduces a new technical skill and creative challenge that helps to reinforce it.

Some of the projects include:

Photoshop – image manipulation

Photo – montage

Studio Photography

Panoramas

Very slow shutter speeds

Mixed lighting

Underexposure

Camera movement

Slow-sync flash

We will also have the opportunity to accommodate student requests for topics and will run sessions based on some of these requests.

Please note: whilst we use Photoshop on this course the primary objective is to improve camera skills and therefore the course is tailored more in this direction rather than extensive use of digital manipulation software.
