Photography
What will I learn?
A picture speaks a thousand words and photography can lead to many exciting careers including fashion and journalism! You will study cultural, historical and contemporary practice and its use as a means of visual expression and communication. On the practical side you will learn how to choose and treat subjects for photographs as well as how to take, develop, print and manipulate images.
What qualifications do I need?
We would normally require candidates to have the standard sixth form entry requirements, including GCSE Art or Photography.
Career opportunities:
Follow a career path into an art, design, and photography-based environment or go onto further education to follow a further in-depth study into a variety of fields of study, such as photography, media studies, advertising, publishing, photo-journalism. There are also jobs within the areas of film and television including directing, production, editing and set design.
