What will I study?
This is a mainly practical course, based on research, experimentation, production and evaluation with an emphasis on black and white photography and digital imaging. In addition, students are required to write ideas/evaluations and image analysis in a sketchbook and attend theory lectures.

Duration:
One year

Do I need any additional qualifications/ skills?
A strong interest in Art and Photography and an enthusiasm for images.

How will I be assessed?
Two units of coursework and a practical exam.

What can I do afterwards?
Progress to AS/A2 Photography if grade C or above is achieved.

Are there any additional costs involved?
Film, photographic paper, sketch books, visits to galleries etc. approx £50 per term. You will also need access to a 35mm SLR film camera and digital camera.
