Joint Honours study in photography allows you to develop a key skill set that is applicable to a wide range of career choices.
There is hardly an area of cultural production that does not harness the power of photography in one way or another. Whether it is to document, illustrate, interpret, show, tell or simply for its own sake, photographs are central to much of the professional and vernacular communication we use.
One might ask why study photography at all - surely modern cameras are capable of handling most of the situations we find ourselves in? The answer is simple, cameras only record images, it takes a thorough understanding of the process of image making to control and understand photographs in the way that a modern society demands.
