Photography Level 3

On this course you will learn: Visual recording in Art & Design Materials, techniques and processes Photography Media, techniques & technology Photographic studio techniques Experimental imagery in photography Image manipulation using computer applications Contextual influences in Art & Design Ideas & concepts Visual communication Location photography Promoting Art & Design work Darkroom Practice Narrative image-making Studio photography Digital image capture & editing Personal & professional development Final Major Project After taking this course you can progress to study at a university level. The course runs at our Park Lane Campus in a range of photography, art and digital studios. Students should have a minimum of five Cs at GCSE or Equivalent, including English Language. A serious interest in the subject is paramount and our interview process will entail you presenting your own portfolio of previous work, as well as completing a photographic task. After the successful completion of the Extended Diploma/Diploma in Photography, students can progress to university level study. A Foundation Degree and a BA (Hons) Degree in Photography are offered by Leeds City College. If you are aged 19 or over and considering enrolling on a further education course at Level 3 or above, you may be entitled to an Advanced Learner Loan to help with course fees.
