"The photojournalist (also called photocronist) is a journalist who tells the facts through photographic images. In addition to telling the news with images, he is often the author of the articles that make up the service. In more limited cases, the photojournalist accompanies the writing journalist to the places where he is sent. The photojournalist works for local, regional and national newspapers, for magazines, periodicals, scientific publications or press agencies. His main task is to be able to take photographs that effectively represent the story he has to document, both for small events of daily life and on extraordinary and unusual aspects. He often starts his career working for local newspapers, before being able to work for national or specialized publications. Some photojournalists specialize in a specific field or content: sporting events, images of celebrities, war reports, etc.
