Course suitability

This course is ideal for those who either have some previous experience of using Photoshop or are new to Photoshop.

It is strongly advised to start at this level and then move on to the advanced level as the 2 courses follow on from each other. You may miss key techniques and shortcuts if you jump to the advanced level.

Students must have adequate IT skills to deal with this software.

Information about the course

Anyone interested in learning about Photoshop and how to enhance images and maximise their knowledge.

This is a leisure course and does not lead to a qualification.

Software used for this course is Abode Photoshop CS2

Course content

This course starts from the basics of Photoshop and quickly moves on to more advanced skills and techniques. You will learn computer maintenance and uploading images to your computer as well.

You will also learn many skills to improve images taken such as scanning in old images and restoring them or removing spots, redeye and blemishes.

Additionality

All course materials will be provided. Optional but useful is a memory stick.

You will need your Student ID card, Learning Agreement and Invoice as these have your unique Student ID number for you to have access to a computer.

The course content may vary according to which tutor is teaching this course, also the content may be adapted to meet the needs of the class.
