Course programme

The course offers a discussion of some basic concepts in nuclear physics and an overview of particle properties and interactions. We examine the properties of the atomic nucleus including nuclear models, reactions and decay processes, study nuclear fission and fusion, and outline the general reactor design. In particle physics, we focus on the structure of the Standard Model and Feynman diagrams. The course is completed with introduction to the neutrino physics and Grand Unified Theories.
