The physical geographer is the one who deals with physical geography, a part of the study of geography that deals with the study of the physical characteristics of the Earth and the natural processes that occur in the atmosphere, geosphere and hydrosphere. Physical geography therefore belongs to the category of earth sciences and uses geology to understand the origin and evolution of surfaces, biology to understand the distribution of flora and fauna, mathematics and physics to understand the movement of Earth in relation to the other bodies of the solar system. The surface of the Earth is not uniform and varies from place to place depending on the dynamic interplay between geographic factors, along with other factors. The local manifestation of this dynamic process is known as landscape, which is a geographic phenomenon of particular interest and is considered by many to be the object of study of physical geography (Otto Schlüter, Passarge Siegfried, Leo Waibel, Jean Brunes, Carl Sauer, and others).
