3. Entry requirements At least 5 GCSEs at grade 5 (grade C) or above, including English Language. In addition you should have a grade 6 (grade B) or above in Maths and Physics, or grade 6 (grade BB) in Combined Science. 4. Equipment required No equipment required 5. Assessment method Physics is a linear A Level. At the end of your second year there are three papers - Paper 1 - Modelling Physics (2 1/4 hours 37% of final grade) includes practical, Newtonian world, Forces and Motion, Astrophysics. Paper 2 - Exploring Physics (2 1/4 hours 37% of final grade) includes practical, Electron Waves and Photons, Particles and Medical Physics. Paper 3 - Unified Physics (1 1/2 hours 26% of final grade) includes structured questions on theory and practical skills covering all modules. You must also demonstrate practical skills assessed by your teacher in class.
