To provide a scientific understanding of Physics, its contribution to the key principles of how the universe works and its application to technology.

Description Breakdown:
Lectures, demonstrations and practical work in the topic areas:
Mechanics and Radioactivity
Electricity and Thermal Physics
A study of medical physics is undertaken.
There is also a practical examination.
You will need a basic understanding of mathematical techniques, or be prepared to undertake extra set work in this area. You will need to complete regular homework tasks and assignments.

Trips Residentials: There are several opportunities to visit place of interest relevant to your studies throughout the course. For example, students this year have visited the Abbey Pumping Station and the Gas Museum.
