This course provides a great introduction to key elements of a piping system. The course covers valves, pumps, filters and types of piping joints. Information provided will equip engineers with good basis to identify key requirements and correctly specify types of equipment. In most cases these decisions require an engineering judgment, the course explains the real world constraints and practices that should be considered in the selection of the equipment. On the last day we cover basis of datasheets and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and types of symbols for various equipment.
