This course covers a broad topic of pipework materials. The course is focusing on metallic pipework for process / utility application. If required the content can be customised to better address the needs of a different industry. The course starts with general overview of piping projects, the role of material selection and standard practices for definition and approval of the piping materials. We continue with the overview of the standards, materials and piping components. At the end of the course we look at the NDT practices and techniques. This course will equip engineers tasked with selection of materials for piping projects with the knowledge and understanding of the subject to enable them to substantiate safe and efficient designs.
The course is aimed at Mechanical / Process engineers and not material specialists or metallurgists, the language of the course is kept simple and the aim is to equip engineers with the practical knowledge that they require to carry out designs tasks.
