Delegates will receive a theoretical presentation, which is followed by delegates completing a practical rigging exercise. Planning Lifting Operations: 1 Day
This theory and practical based course is designed to give delegates an understanding of the content required in the production and completion of lifting plans. Delegates will receive a theoretical presentation, which is followed by delegates completing a practical rigging exercise.
CONTENT: Theory - Regulation 8; Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations; Categorization of Lifting Operation; Planning Considerations; Route to be travelle; Rigging Material Lists; Rigging Equipment Diagrams; Step-by-step Procedure; Theoretical Planning Exercise. Practical - Carry out the Pre-use inspection of lifting equipment; Produce a lifting plan; Lifting Plan Conformation and Feedback; Carry out a rigging exercise; Debriefing.
The course will begin and end with a short written test paper with successful delegates issued an NSL certificate of training.
DETAILS: Course dates are available from our Training Administrator: This course is currently delivered at one of NSL's training centres, but can be delivered at the client's premises.
PPE REQUIRED: Coveralls, hard hat and safety boots.
