Content
This will develop practical engineering and maintenance skills working within an industrial environment to allow candidates to demonstrate a level of competence and be assessed to meet National Standards at NVQ level 3, other additional training can be built into the programme such as machining, welding and electrical skills.
The Technical Certificate will provide the underpinning knowledge to support the candidates training and development covering such things as engineering materials, science, maths, mechanical applications, electrical and electronic principles and maintenance related subjects.
Assessment
Candidates will be assessed through the use of examinations, practical and theory assignments. Assessment within the workplace will be required to complete the NVQ in Engineering Maintenance and Installation .
Progression
Once complete candidates can progress onto a HNC/D in Engineering.
