Who The Course is for
Successful students tend to:
- have practical skills and good hand skills
- be able to follow technical drawings, building plans, and other instructions
- be fit and strong enough to carry tools and materials
Course Content
You will study the Level 2 Diploma in Plastering, Key Skills Level 1 in application of number and communications. Areas covered include:
- Health and Safety within the construction industry
- Stacking and storing materials and equipment
- The construction industry
- Fix dry lining and plasterboard products to interiors
- Form sand and cement screeds
- Produce plaster components
- Position and secure fibrous plaster components
All elements are assessed and must meet Construction Awards Alliance standards.
Entry RequirementsLearning & Assessment Methods
- Assessment is via multiple choice examination and practical tests
- Awarding body phase test
- Portfolio of knowledge
Qualifications Gained
On completion of the course students will have gained a Level 2 Diploma in Plastering qualification (Construction Awards Alliance).
Progression Opportunities
Successful students may progress onto the Level 3 Diploma in Plastering.
Career Opportunities
This course may allow students to gain employment within the construction industry.
This course may allow students to move on to an apprenticeship.
