The course will cover Health and Safety procedures and safe tool use for plumbing, learning to bend and solder pipes and using compression fillings, using different types of piping systems: Pushfit, Polypipe, removing radiators for painting or replacement and how to bleed them, showing how different types of live central heating systems work and changing components, understanding different types of taps, stopcock isolation valves, ball valves, thermostatic radiator valves, thermostatic rad valves and their maintenance/replacement, installation of pedestal basins and close coupled toilets. The course also covers investigating waste systems, siphon problems and drainage, toilet cisterns and replacing siphons, how circulating pumps works and preventing entrapment.

There are no formal entry requirements.
What Else do I need to Know?
Due to the nature of the work a boiler suit/coverall is recommended. Steel toe cap boots will also be needed as you will be in a workshop environment.
