About this course

Standard entry to this course requires one reference. It is desirable that you can demonstrate 90 attendance. A GCSE in both English and maths at grade 3 (D) or above is required.

Consideration will be given to all applicants over the age of 19 who do not hold formal English and maths qualifications.

Course programme

Year 1

There are ten units: health and safety in building services engineering; electrical principles and processes for building services engineering; scientific principles for domestic industrial and commercial plumbing; common plumbing processes; cold water systems; domestic hot water systems; drainage systems; sanitation; central heating systems; and understanding how to communicate with others within building services engineering.

Additional information

You will be assessed throughout each unit. In additional your will have to undertake practical assessments and you will require a week of work to do this.
