Then this next progression in the nationally recognised series of NVQ/City & Guilds qualifications should be a priority. We will assess you to a very high standard in the methods used in mechanical engineering plumbing systems.

Progression:
Successful completion will enable you to progress to the NVQ level 3 at the College.

Entry Requirements:
In our experience in order to be successful on this level of course you will need one of the following:

· four GCSEs at grades A-C (including English and maths)

· a BTEC foundation diploma in a related subject

· technical certificate in Plumbing 6129

· successful completion of the Jumpstart programme

· successful completion of the E2E/Prince's Trust programme

· equivalent qualifications or relevant work experience.

Duration: One year Course Overview
What does the course involve?:

The main subject areas include:
• hot and cold water systems
• drainage above and below ground
• gas installations
• unvented systems
• oil supply
• sheet lead.

When can I study?:
Various days and times, work-based

Are there any exams?:
To successfully achieve this qualification you will need to collect evidence of day-to-day plumbing activities undertaken by you in the workplace.

£380 per year. If you are receiving certain benefits, you may only have to pay a material fee.

Instalments:
Instalments are available for course fees. A deposit of £95.00 per year is payable before enrolment followed by three monthly payments of £95.00 per year
