Course Content

• Health and Safety involved in the use of compressed air.
• Introduction to the pneumatic symbols to ISO1212 and BS2217 and the
relationship of the units to each other
• Identify and understand operation of basic circuits.
• Design and construct simple circuits
• Understand double acting cylinder and control valves
• Awareness of how PLCs operate pneumatic circuits
• Design circuit diagrams
• Identify typical faults by completing checks on pneumatic systems
• Recognise components from circuit diagrams
• Simple PLC Programming
