Civil engineering for risk mitigation - cerm- ed. 8

What I would highlight: Politecnico di Milano is the best reference for design studies. Living in Milan, the capital of architecture and design, gives you a wide range of experiences. Besides, you study with people from different countries, which provide you an international panorama. I got familiar with many people and gained a new perspective.

What I would highlight: This was an amazing experience, giving students more self confidence and independence. It is a well of cultural and social activities, plus, a great reference in your resume. The only problem you might have is the language, so, make sure to get as much Italian lessons as you need.

What I would highlight: The techniques and study environment were the best about this university. The project is an actual study case which helps students to solve problems in real life. Rental could be higher than you expect depending on accommodations.

What I would highlight: I’m going to recommend specifically the Erasmus experience since it is enriching. This university is highly professional and has great training programs. The hardest part, as a student of Architecture, was the one about the disciplines of construction, because this centre base over Engineering.
What could be improved: All OK.

What I would highlight: First of all, Italy is a great country to live and study. Milan is beautiful too. The professors know in deep about their subject. Plus, the international environment gives you another perspective of life and the possibility of knowing people from the world. The centre offers financial aid to students too.

What I would highlight: I think the tutors want to teach foreign students so they treat us as real Italians. They are strict but in we get really good education because of that. I’ve learned more things than in my home university, totally worth it.

What I would highlight: I did a research for Masters Program in Electrical Engineering in Europe about a year ago until I sent three applications to different programs and universities, got accepted at two and I chose Politecnico de Milano. I must say it’s definitely a top university in Europe, ranked at the top of Architecture, Design and Engineering schools. And Milano is an amazing city to study and live. I totally recommend Polimi to everyone.

What I would highlight: Politecnico di Milano is a prestigious university in Europe that has a good portfolio of courses and, as an architecture student, I felt very happy with the program offered. The centre also has many grants/scholarship for the students and provides many opportunities in international internship. In addition to this, Italy is a country with a great culture, heritage and food.

What I would highlight: The nice is a little expensive but good for students as it is international. Milano is a hug of cultural events especially in the fashion industry. The university is good but you must choose your lessons because most of them are in Italian something that, however, helps you to connect with local people. Regarding social life, it is a pretty important organization in Milan.

What I would highlight: I think Politecnico de Milano is one of the best technical universities in Europe. My studies in Management Engineering were well structured, the content is completely in English and definitely the educational staff is high quality. In addition to this, I would like to recommend Como Campus. It’s located in a beautiful place with friendly people and a community that involves in the student life.

What I would highlight: In general, the courses are good. Educational standards are high are at international level. Although, the teaching methods are not always effective. Definitely, the communication is an issue. Examinations don’t have the same pattern, I’ve heard complains of some students. The classes are not pretty interactive, there should discussion groups for each particular topic, instead of the teachers asking us to remember lengthy formulas.

There are many great places to visit, and mountains are close too. Politecnico di Milano is a top school, with many courses delivered in English. The university also held a great number of workshops and lectures.

What I would highlight: The Mantova Regional Campus is a sector of Politecnico di Milano. It has the excellence of a traditional university with the beautiful and cozy location of Mantova. You have the opportunity to learn people from different parts of the world, not as other big campus where you get anonymous. The tutors have a lot of experience since they’re from Milan and can establish direct student-teacher relationships. Rest of the staff is friendly and the data system is easy to follow. It’s a good place for everyone looking for protect architectural heritage since they actually will have a chance to do it. Sport facilities are available for students too.

What I would highlight: Of course, school will be difficult just because you study engineering. Be ready to feel that sometimes everything is hard and you just want to go home. But don’t, it gets better! The hard part is usually related to homesick and everybody might feel it. Don’t hang out just with people from your own country, try to meet people from different cultures, I’m happy I did.

What I would highlight: The studio is generally once a week and the rest of the time you will be working in the classroom and checking your project with the professors. Sometimes they presented foreign cases and the students are asked to travel. Rest of the week is usually lecture classes. Although most of the teachers are Italians they have pretty well English, so, you won’t have any trouble. All things considered, I’m satisfied with this university.

What I would highlight: I think Politecnico di Milano is the biggest university of Italy in terms of imparting engineering and architectural studies. I had amazing professional university staff. They offer tutorials to any student what has aspect to discuss. The books you can find in the library is efficient too. What is more, Milan has many private foundations and city libraries which can be useful for your researches.

Description

Politecnico Milano is a scientific-technological university which trains engineers, architects and industrial designers.

The University has always focused on the quality and innovation of its teaching and research, developing a fruitful relationship with business and productive world by means of experimental research and technological transfer.

Research has always been linked to didactics and it is a priority commitment which has allowed Politecnico Milano to achieve high quality results at an international level as to join the university to the business world. Research constitutes a parallel path to that formed by cooperation and alliances with the industrial system.

Knowing the world in which you are going to work is a vital requirement for training students. By referring back to the needs of the industrial world and public administration, research is facilitated in following new paths and dealing with the need for constant and rapid innovation. The alliance with the industrial world, in many cases favored by Fondazione Politecnico and by consortiums to which Politecnico belong, allows the university to follow the vocation of the territories in which it operates and to be a stimulus for their development.

The challenge which is being met today projects this tradition which is strongly rooted in the territory beyond the borders of the country, in a relationship which is developing first of all at the European level with the objective of contributing to the creation of a single professional training market. Politecnico takes part in several research, sites and training projects collaborating with the most qualified European universities. Politecnico's contribution is increasingly being extended to other countries: from North America to Southeast Asia to Eastern Europe. Today the drive to internationalization sees Politecnico Milano taking part into the European and world network of leading technical universities and it offers several courses beside many which are entirely taught in English.
