Course programme

You will study two core modules: Academic Study Skills, and Politics and International Relations. In addition, you will study two of the following: Economics, English Literature, History, Psychology or Sociology.


You must have a Level 2 qualification in organisational and administrative skills, or equivalent experience in a working or voluntary role. There is a written assessment and interview prior to full enrolment, at which you are expected to demonstrate your commitment to and aptitude for the course.


Assessment is by coursework and occasional written examinations.

You can progress on to a range of possible degrees in the Humanities and Social Sciences. The course tutor for the Politics and International Relations route and our careers and Higher Education advisors will give you advice and guidance on this, and on your application to university.
