Course structure Day one starts Sunday afternoon to allow travel to venue
  • Introduction to the course and Plastics industry
  • Education support from the Institute of Materials, Minerals & Mining
  • Lectures on History & Design of Polymer Products
  • Dinner
Day two
  • Lectures on Polymer Science & Technology
  • Practical sessions & workshops, including, hands-on polymer processing & testing and CAD & CAM
  • Dinner with guest lecture from local industrialist or academic
Day three
  • Industrial visits to local plastics processing companies
  • Course Dinner with short speech by an Officer from the Worshipful Company of Horners
Day four course closes by 4 pm allowing for travel arrangements
  • Lectures on Sustainable Environment ; Polymer Materials & Applications
  • Practical session on Polymer identification and testing
  • Final session: evaluation, development and improvement
