Course programme

We will explore the structures and mechanisms commonly used in pop-up books and make our own straight and curved pop-up shapes as well as pull tab mechanisms to make things slide or rotate, starting with simple pop-ups and moving on to more complex designs.

Students will be able to finish two or three books to take home, or, if they prefer, a collection of pop-up cards.

Some experience in paper folding (for example origami) would be useful, but this course is also suitable for complete beginners.

Please note: This course is for students aged 18 and older
