Course programme

Summary

This is specialist training for care providers who require comprehensive and accredited training in positive behaviour support. Adaptable to all care settings, yet relevant to the core principles of PBS, this two day course will cover in comprehensive detail the key points of PBS and through practical demonstration will provide much needed confidence in dealing in a constructive way with difficult behaviour. The training teaches staff how to be safe in difficult situations yet protect the dignity in a person centred way of the individual they are supporting.

The format and duration of this training entitles it to be accredited with the ODLQC .

Who should attend?

Staff who are involved in planning care or delivering meaningful interventions when supporting people who put themselves or others at risk from difficult behaviour. N.B Recent developments dictate that staff attending should have previously attended first aid training that has included practical demonstration of CPR.

This training is NOT a first aid course and does not contain elements of it.
