The London Institute of Banking & Finance has a heritage of more than 135 years of delivering world-class, professional education to students in the UK and internationally. It is a not-for-profit educational body with charitable status, incorporated by Royal Charter. On 2 January 2010, the ifs School of Finance (as it was then called) received taught degree-awarding powers (TDAP), the first and still the only 'professional body' in the UK to achieve this distinction. In August 2013 it was granted University College title by the Department for Business, Innovation, and Skills.

Committed to providing both part-time and full-time students with a quality higher education that is academically rigorous, rooted in practice and with a focus on employability. LIBF currently offer undergraduate honors degrees and postgraduate programmes including a finance-related Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education and a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching Financial Capability.

LIBF subscribe to and carry the Quality Assurance Agency's (QAA) Quality Mark, is a member of the Office of the Independent Adjudicator (OIA) and hold Highly Trusted Sponsor (HTS) status for the recruitment of international students.
