Studying this course will provide you with an opportunity to develop masters level education in relation to the management of lymphoedema within palliative and end of life care and apply this to your area of practice in health and / or social care, drawing on local and national policies and guidelines.
Undertaking each of the modules within this course will allow you the opportunity to develop a variety of skills important to your professional practice.
This course aims to equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge that would enable you to lead and develop practice in the specialist area of Lymphoedema Care.
The course includes a range of modules that explore issues and factors around the assessment and management of mild / moderate and complex lymphoedema and the contemporary approaches to lymphoedema service delivery in health and social care.

About this course
You should be a registered health and / or social care professional working within clinical practice and it is imperative you have access to clients requiring lymphoedema care
A first degree (minimum 2.2) in a related subject area.
Students who have attained a third class honours or a non-honours degree, or who do not have a first degree, but have successfully completed Level 6 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) modules (or can provide evidence of their ability to pursue successfully the PG Cert) may be considered eg completion of an approved preparation course for level 7 study.

This course will build upon and develop your knowledge and skills as a practitioner caring for individuals with a life limiting progressive illness in either the acute, community or voluntary sectors. It will assist you in developing your skills to synthesis and evaluate practice by using appropriate evidence to improve service delivery. The course will enable the development of your knowledge and understanding in the core elements of palliative and end of life care.
You must currently work with individuals with a life limiting progressive illness requiring palliative and/or end life care.
