About this course

Graduate Destinations:
Graduates have gained employment in a number of general further education settings including colleges, sixth forms and adult education providers.

Graduates have also used APL to progress on to the Masters in Educational Innovation, provided by the Centre for Education Studies at the University of Warwick

Work Experience Opportunities:
Successful applicants will be required to attend a placement in a college or other general further education setting, for two days per week, for the duration of the course.

2:i undergraduate degree (or equivalent). GCSE English and Maths at Grade C or equivalent.

Teaching:
You will be required to attend University for two full days per week, attend placement for two full days per week and independently study on one day per week.

Assessment:

Assessment is via six written assignments and completion of an electronic professional development portfolio.In addition, you will be expected to complete at least 150 hours teaching practice, and will be observed at least eight times during the programme (by an experienced subject mentor and/or a subject specialist teacher trainer).
