Description
The Potting Shed is a ceramics and glass studio managed by experienced makers and teachers Richenda Macgregor and Natalie Elder. Developed as a community resource, The Potting Shed runs regular workshops in Ceramics, kiln formed glass, mould making and casting, outdoor firing including Raku, throwing, clay winning, sculpting and various one-off ‘taster’ days.
Set in a stunning location just outside Ashprington and surrounded by the Devonshire landscape, the space has been designed with optimum creativity and experimentation in mind.
Richenda and Natalie are committed to sustainable practice and wherever possible use locally sourced and recycled materials. Both are passionate about the creative process and in creating a hub for interactive learning, teaching traditional skills and researching into latest practice. Workshops and courses have been designed to empower and inform the individual with the knowledge needed to become successful practitioners themselves.
