The BSc / Post Graduate Certificate in Practice Education Programme has been designed to provide an integrated, coherent and multi-disciplinary/multi-professional pathway to support practice education.The programme is for Registered Health Care Professionals who wish to further develop their knowledge and skills in practice education and is also for those wishing to undertake the role of mentor and practice teacher.The programme ensures that stages two and three of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Standards to Support Learning and Assessment in Practice (2008) are met in order to enable NMC registrants to register on Provider Services mentor/sign off mentor/practice teacher data-bases.

  • PRED 3000 Principles and Practice of Mentorship (15 credits at level 6)

OR

  • PRED 3003 Personal and Professional Development in Practice Education (15 credits at level 6)

AND

  • PRED 3001 or 5001 Education in Professional Practice 1 (15 credits at level 6 or 7)
  • PRED 3004 or 5004 Education in Professional Practice 2 (30 credits at level 6 or 7)
