Course Content:
The course consists of 4 modules: 1. Magazines & Comics (Print) 2. Radio (Broadcast) 3. TV & Film (Broadcast) 4. Either a. Advertising or b. Computer Games Each module will involve some pre-production (research & planning); production (producing an original text e.g. A film poster); post-production (an evaluation of work done). This is very much a `hands-on practical course and will develop your English & ICT skills + give the opportunity to learn new practical & group skills.
Texts and topics are taken from a wide range & variety of sources, so start researching now and maybe look at some media texts that you have not considered before!
Progression:
Successful students could go on to study GCSE Media or BTEC Diploma in Media.
