Course programme

Our Pre-sessional English course is an intensive programme designed to give you a solid foundation in key academic English skills for studying in a university environment. At the end of the course you should be ready to progress onto your degree and feel confident in communicating in English.

The pre-sessional course focuses on English Language, including grammar and vocabulary, fluency, and pronunciation and academic skills, including presentation skills, reading and listening, writing and exam preparation. All classes will be taught in the context of academic study in a university environment.

We use interactive teaching methods to help develop your confidence to engage in English. Classes will usually consist of communicative seminars, workshops, lectures and one-to-one tutorials to discuss your progress and provide additional support, where required. As part of your course we also include independent study, during this time you will have full access to our multi-media language centre, to support your development.
