Pregnancy Massage can help alleviate many of the symptoms and conditions associated with pregnancy. Amongst many benefits, massage during pregnancy has been found to help alleviate:

  • Back, neck and shoulder discomfort caused by hormonal and postural changes.

During our pregnancy massage course you will be working on the abdominal area and the rest of the body. The Massage helps to prepare the body for the changes that occur during this special time and will help promote a healthy, happy, pregnancy, birth and recovery period.

In this course, you will be taught a safe and effective pregnancy massage routine and understand the physical, mental and emotional demands and effects on the mother’s body. You will learn why certain positions are more comfortable and safer during pregnancy massage.

In addition we have designed our pregnancy massage course to include the common ailments associated with pregnancy; such as leg cramping, lower back pain, oedema of the feet, ankles and lower legs. Furthermore you will learn tips for dealing with the ever present morning sickness and nausea – a familiar problem during all trimesters. These self-help techniques can be taught to your clients when this occurs.
