Course programme
Preparation for Foundation is designed for international students applying for the Foundation Diploma in Art & Design. The course is delivered in a Foundation environment and enables students to develop a high quality portfolio of work in preparation for the Foundation.
Students will familiarise themselves with life in London during the six week course, participating in studio based projects and research trips to some of the capital's world famous museums and galleries. Regular group discussions and tutorials will build on communication skills and weekly English language sessions will support and prepare students for study in further education in art and design.

Entry Requirements
An offer to the a UAL Foundation Diploma in Art & Design. Alternatively, you can make a direct application to the course by submitting a digital portfolio of around 20 images of your work, to , before booking your place.
IELTS level 5.0 or above if English isn’t an applicant’s first language, with at least 4.0 in reading, writing, listening and speaking (please check our English Language requirements)
If you are from OUTSIDE the European Economic Area (EEA) you MUST present your passport and valid visa/proof of entry clearance to the Short Course office before the start of your course. Please note you will NOT be allowed to study, if do not present a valid visa/proof of entry clearance on the first day of the course.
