The Preparatory Programme in Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy is a prerequisite for enrollment in the Master of Science in Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy. It features general courses in all the major fields of Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy as well as an introductory Dutch course. In this one-semester programme, you will be getting up to speed with an evidence-based curriculum in Rehabilitation Sciences while also testing your practical skills. The Preparatory Programme must be successfully completed before students are admitted into the Master of Science programme.

Please note that only students with a background in Rehabilitation Sciences or Physiotherapy will be considered for admission. Students with degrees in other fields can be considered if their curriculum is deemed relevant enough.

Course programme

The preparatory programme is specifically developed for all incoming students to improve and further develop their knowledge, insights and skills in all majors offered in the Physiotherapy programme. The programme enables students to increase their success rate in the Master of Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy.

  • You are interested in rehabilitation sciences and physiotherapy in general and are motivated to pursue advanced studies in this domain from a scientific perspective.
  • You are a social person and enjoy helping others.
  • You have a critical and active attitude towards the subject material and are eager to learn.
  • Applicants must be fluent in English, a basic knowledge of Dutch is an advantage. Nevertheless, Dutch classes can be taken during the preparatory programme. A Dutch level 1 proficiency is required before starting the internship periods.
