Course programme

• Aged 16-25. • Not in employment, education or training. • Students must show, through an interview, commitment to the course. Course Content Upon completion, team members will gain a Level 1 Certificate in Employment Teamwork and Community Skills . Topics within this qualification include career planning, community project, planning for progression, presentation skills, supporting others, teamwork and work experience. During the 12 week programme, Team members will: • undertake a project based in their local community • take part in an exciting, action-packed residential week • get two weeks' work experience in a field of interest • participate in a team challenge, involving helping others • put on a team presentation, during which they recount their experiences. How will I be assessed? To achieve qualification learners need to gather evidence from activities which demonstrate they have met each of the assessment criteria. Evidence will include worksheets, observation records, photos, application forms, letters and presentations. Progression On successful completion of this course, progression may be possible to a full-time, vocational course of choice, or students may wish to enter employment or an apply for an Apprenticeship. Fees • If you are aged 16–18 as of 31 August on the year of enrolment – no course fee. • If you are over 19 as of 31 August and enrolling on a full-time programme of study a tuition fee will be applicable in most cases.
