Course programme
Nurses in primary care and dermatology nurses who are interested in the nursing management of patients with skin cancer and patients undergoing minor surgery
Format of Course:The course consists of a detailed educational unit on the nursing management of patients with skin cancer and patients undergoing minor surgery which was originally developed for the WNB-accredited course “Practical Dermatology Nursing". Students are expected to work through the course material and to learn how to link theory with practice through reflective learning. The amount of study required may vary according to personal experience but it is anticipated that 25 hours of private study will be required to complete the course.
At the end of six weeks, students who have completed reflection points will be awarded a certificate of attendance. For those students who wish to have accreditation at degree or diploma level, the 15-week distance learning modules may be more appropriate.
