Course programme

Course structure The courses are delivered through Blackboard in the form of narrated power-point presentation including video and other reference material. The narration is available in written form for those without audio access. The tutor regulates the flow of the work to ensure the cohort of delegates learn together and complete assignments in a timely fashion. The course lasts approximately 12-17 weeks at five hours per week, therefore minimal disruption to work and family commitments.
What you will learn

The key learning points explore the standards and definitions of structures and materials, stress analysis and details design. The course encourages the debate of structural issues with experts from a position of sound basic knowledge across a broad spectrum of industry.

Delegates’ performance on the course is measured by Cranfield academic tutors through a number of assignments, online discussion with other members of the cohort, and contribution to a group project. Successful completion is recognised by a graded attendance certificate which can be used as a demonstration of CPD and commitment to ongoing learning required for Professional Registration such as IEng and CEng.
