Course programme

This one-day introductory course is ideal for anyone who is new to Pro Tools and needs to get started quickly, but it will also provide precious information for those that have not yet decided which software is going to be at the heart of their studio.
Learning how Pro Tools works in practical day-to-day use, and how the different configurations available compare to each other will help new users get the best out of their system, avoiding costly mistakes and possibly months of frustrating trial and error.

Which version of Pro Tools

The Quick Start to Pro Tools covers features which are available in every version of the software: so whether you have an Mbox, a 003, an HD3 system or Pro Tools Mpowered, on a Windows or Apple computer, the software remains virtually identical.
Who will you learn from

The lecturer for this course has many years of experience using Pro Tools in professional recording studios, and brings to this class a wealth of real-world knowledge of recording and production.

What will you learn During the course of the day you will learn how to create a Pro Tools session which includes elements of MIDI (using Digidesign's own software instruments), audio recordings, mixing and automation, up to the creation of the finished product.
What next With a clear picture of the basic functionality of the software, users will have the option to follow this lecture with more self-study or to enroll in the official Digidesign training program or any other extended course of Music Production.

Schedule
11 to 5pm on the dates indicated.

This course, like any other course from London School of Sound, is based on the latest available version of the software. If you own an older version we will help you decide whether it's worth upgrading and point out similarities and differences as we come across them during the lecture.
