About this course
This course focuses on practical experimentation informed by the use of materials, technologies and production processes. You'll learn about the qualities of materials, their potential sustainability and appropriate application. You'll study the roles that designers play, and the impact design can have on social, political, environmental and commercial contexts.
You will have the opportunity to study a foreign language, free of charge, during your time at the University on a not-for-credit basis as part of the Kingston Language Scheme. Options currently include: Arabic, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish.
Applicants will need a minimum of 112 tariff points from recognised level 3 qualifications to include an Art or Design subject such as Foundation Diploma in Art or Design or an Art/Design related A-level or recognised equivalent.
