How will I study?

Units in the first year include: Production Arts Workshop, Make-up Application Skills and Creative Uses in Performance, Hair Styling and Dressing for Performers, Fantasy Hair Design for Performers, Special Effects Make-Up and Make-up Using Prosthetics. It may be necessary to undertake an additional Functional Skill or GCSE resit alongside this qualification and this will be guided by your tutor.
How will I be taught?

Theory and practical lessons will be delivered over 3 days a week. Your timetable will also include a tutorial hour with your course tutor. Much of the learning process will be student centred and will require commitment, dedication, excellent. An additional 2 days per week outside of the course is recommended in order to keep up to date with coursework.
How will I be assessed?

This course is assessed through written work, observation of students’ practical application of skills and presentations. There are no exams as part of the course, however there may be exams linked to Functional Skills or GCSE resits.
