About this course

In August 2003, the HSE made changes to the requirements for entrants to be accepted for GasSafe registration. Without gas experience and training, you will not be eligible to take your ACS assessment, which is the accepted route to demonstrate your competence. Therefore, if you are a new entrant to the gas industry and you don't have the required qualifications or experience you must undertake a suitable structured training programme.

Course programme

Access Training's certified and structured Professional Gas and Plumbing Engineer Course has been developed as the natural route into the Domestic Gas and Plumbing industries, which upon successful completion and with the appropriate experience, can lead to GasSafe registration as an Engineer. Our dedicated advisors will establish, through consultation with every candidate, their previous experience, their level of practical skill and their technical ability. A typical student could be someone already working as a 'mate' within the gas/plumbing related industries, or, as is most often the case, someone looking for a career change without any previous experience. Rest assured, we guarantee that all our students are capable of completing the course which in no doubt contributes to our exceptional pass rates. Our training courses are delivered through a combination of Home Study and Onsite Specialist Training at one of our Certified Training Centres. Home Study is completed to correspond with modules of Onsite Specialist Training that you will undertake at a pace to suit both your ability and your current circumstances. A number of exams and practical assessments will be required for you to pass along with your submission of an acceptable portfolio of evidence.
