About this course

Applicants should normally have 120 credits at Level 5 and will normally be working in a relevant area of community health, education and social care. Evidence of working in a relevant practice area will be required prior to commencing the programme.

What will this course cover?

This work-based programme is open to students who have successfully completed a Foundation Degree or a Diploma in Higher Education. It is designed to help you develop your theoretical knowledge and expertise and enable enhanced practice and career progression

What are my career prospects

This course offers a grounding that enables early years practitioners to knowledgeably enhance their practice with children and their families. As a successful graduate you will have a desirable qualification for career progression, including highly sought after jobs within early years and education.

Further opportunities for successful students include progression onto early years teacher or wider teacher training programmes or studying at master’s level towards an award in a relevant field of interest, for example MA in Education, MSc in Child Protection and Adult Safeguarding or MSc in Mental Health and Well-Being in Education.
