Course programme

Year 1

The course will introduce you to the various job roles within the performing arts industry including promoting a performing arts event. It will also provide opportunities to rehearse, plan and take part in a performance and to explore and develop your dance skills. A range of dance styles will be covered.


We expect you to have an attendance rate of 85 in the previous year and a reference from your tutor. A genuine interest in dance and the ability to study this subject at a higher level is also helpful.

Additional information

Assessment is both formative and summative across all units and by continuous assessment.
