Year 1

This course is aimed at students interested in a career in mechanical or manufacturing engineering and is comprised of core and specialist units chosen from design, manufacturing and mechanical disciplines.
There is an emphasis on learning by practical application of skills and as such there is a large element of time dedicated to practical workshop sessions. You will develop skills through practical problem solving, working on your own and as part of a team.

Assessment is by practical competence, written assessments and online exams.
