Course programme

Year 1

You will learn how to use a range of fashion and textile materials, tools and specialist equipment competently and creatively. You will research, experiment, design and develop ideas to produce and evaluate a fashion and textile related product. You will be able to access the extensive resources available within the creative arts department.


We expect you to have an attendance rate of 85 in the previous year and a reference from your tutor. You will need to have a genuine interest in exploring fashion and textiles and be considering this area for further study after your GCSEs.

Additional information

Assessment is both formative and summative across all units and by continuous assessment.
