Course programme

Year 1

You will be based in one of our Apple Mac suites and learn about how to use computers to make music. You will cover song structure, basic keyboard and musical skills and programmes such as Garage Band to take the ideas in your head, and turn them into finished tracks.


We expect you to have an attendance rate of 85 in the previous year and a reference from your tutor. The course is for those learners with a genuine interest in music and who would like to study music performance and technology at a higher level.

Additional information

Assessment is both formative and summative across all units and by continuous assessment.
